What is Drumchapel Churches PartnershipDrumchapel Churches Partnership came into being because a group of ministers felt that working together would benefit the community better than remaining apart. Membership is currently: Essenside URC, Drumchapel Episcopal Church, St Andrew’s, St Mark’s and Drumry St Mary’s Churches of Scotland, St Laurence Roman Catholic Church and 3D Drumchapel. The founding document is the Covenant, revised in 2005.How is the Partnership organised? The Partnership is governed by a Council, consisting of clergy, plus two lay reps from each church and the manager and a director of 3D. The Chair is always a lay member. Clergy meet together once a month and the lay team meets separately a week or so before each Council meeting. What does the Partnership do?We worship together in Holy Week and the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, also holding a regular carol service and an Annual United Sunday morning service. The Partnership is currently spending some time in prayer and reflection to discern the way ahead in terms of focus and joint activity. In association with the City Council we run a lunch club for older people. We also host quarterly lunches for all who work in the community – statutory and voluntary services.THE DRUMCHAPEL ECUMENICAL TEAMDrumchapel Ecumenical Team sits under the wide umbrella of the Partnership.
